Go with something very high in nitrogen. Like around 29%. When I lived in Little Rock all the neighborhoods had Bermuda and you could fertilize that stuff 4-5 times in a growing season. It really likes high nitrogen. It seemed like you couldn't fertilize Bermuda enough. Centipede is just the opposite. It likes less nitrogen and far less applications in a growing season.

I used the Fertilome fertilizer specifically for centipede and it was 15-0-15. Was that wrong for me to apply? I used it on 10,000 sqft in the front but instead of the 40 lbs recommended per 10k, I used 32 lbs.

Thanks for the info. I'm in the Houston area and just built in a new neighborhood. HOA requires Bermuda so I'm learning. It's tough to keep the weeds out of it.

Always had St Augustine in the past and that was simple to maintain.

I have really good luck with k8. I am in the Dallas area and get it from a mom and pop feed store. I have Bermuda and my lawn is as nice or better than those paying a service. It is a 15 5 10 blend.

That is what I have and I pop it with ammonium nitrate. Seems like it can't eat enough but I cut back some cause I had to cut grass twice a week. shite was "blue" though. Live on a hwy and had strangers pull up to ask what I do to get what I had.

I said 1 pound of nitrogen per acre....Not 1 pound of fertlizer per acre. There is a decent amount of math involved in calibrating active ingredient per acre.

200 pounds of 13-13-13 fertilizer and 200 pounds of 38-0-0 (urea) are putting down VASTLY different amounts of nitrogen.
Good link. I understand fertilizer labels but really don't spend time on the app rates, mathematically II hate math. Father always did the calculations.

I hate the math part of it too...Which is why I'll never let my applicator's license expire- don't want to have to take that test again!

Either Home Depot or the John Deer store. I think John Deer owns Lesco.

I had hell keeping weeds out of my Bermuda. I'm glad I'm in a centipede neighborhood now. I bought one of those pumpup sprayers and put stuff in it that would kill the weeds but not the grass. It was a royal pain in the neck. I will say though when you get a Bermuda yard looking right it looks like a golf course but man it's some serious work.
