My dad kills his limit on cocodrie every time he goes with his .17 marlin 3x9 40mm. I don't go much because I'm usually duck hunting when he's hunting tree rats.

My favorite squirrel slayer definitely has to be my old Westchester bolt action .410 with a really long barrel. I picked it up for $40 in a pawn shop when I turned 18 years old.

It didn't have a front sight (had fallen out), but I found a little machine set screw that threaded into the hole just perfectly....it's still there and in use.

That thing has bagged everything under the sun from dove to deer.

I've got an old single shot H&R .410 that I like to use. Tons of fun to shoot, but the ammo is hell on a wallet.

My favoritist Si Robertson story.....

Si: "I killed 58 squirrel's with a 22 last year. 57 was head shots".

Other guy: "Where was the one that wasn't a head shot"?

Si: "In the neck. I was off by an inch".

I figured Ole Geauxt would be using that Marlin he ordered from the Sears & Roebuck catalog.

Sheee-it, OG uses an atl-atl that Korg gave him as a boy in the late Wisconsonian period.
