We used to start wakeboarding at 6 AM on false river... Skiied diversion int he afternoons near tickfaw amite area.

Some but not all, you have to be pretty athletic to be a decent wakeboarder.

I know. And why does it hurt so much more falling when wakeboarding. On my slalom I'm probably going 60 when I hit the water, but it doesn't hurt as bad as it does going about 18 on a wakeboard.

As has been said 48x already, that canal is unskiable. 30 feet wide and probably 3 feet deep. False river is definitely not my first choice of places to ski around BR but it's is unbeatable on any weekday afternoon or early am on the weekends.

I went yesterday with pops and a couple friends and we had the whole lake to ourselves

ETA: rouger the OP title says wakeboard but you keep saying ski, which is it? Choose wisely...
