2024 Ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 tradesman with the 6.4L hemi. First gas truck in over 15 years with the amount I tow these days I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $75+k on a new truck. Paid $49k for this one wich is sad since I paid $50k for the F250 lariat diesel fx4 new in 2012. New one has 4.11 rear end and has plenty get up and go for a gasoline truck. That said I haven’t towed heavy with it yet. Gets only 1 mpg less than my diesel and fuel is almost a dollar a gallon cheaper for me now.

09F150 here. I was quoted $1,200 to fix oil leak. It’s a pretty small amount.
I’m borderline on what to do, it’s a lot cheaper than a new truck.

Its been the last 3 times I drove it and no, im not dropping $8k on an oil leak
If that’s the case, I would probably try some of that oil additive that may soften the seals back up and help. I am typically opposed to such fixes, but it may be just the thing that will get a couple of moe]re years out of your vehicle. Put it in 500 miles before your next oil change and see what happens.
All you have to lose is about ten bucks.

I’m pretty sure the cab has to be pulled to get make this repair. My HVAC tech decided to trade his truck in and not have this service done a few weeks ago. He was worried about the electrical connectors having problems and throwing codes due to age and wear which I guess I could see being an issue.
