I have an American Angler that’s corded. Great knife but I wanted a battery one for ease of use cleaning fish in different locations etc. Did some research and ended up with the Rapala R12 and love it. Haven’t touched my American Angler since. It’s more comfortable than the bubba and faster than other battery operated ones.

I know my neighbor, who is a guide, uses the Rigid on redfish.

I use to use a 1 handed reciprocating saw with a filletzall blade till one of my podnas used a serrated bread knife from Rouses and showed me up. I have 2 now...... they will cut through rib bones on everything from a snapper to sheephead with no problem. Get yourself a chain mail glove, they don't care what they cut

We had a guide who used a similar set-up. I thought the only way to clean sheephead (and black drum) was with a freaking chainsaw, but this rig made short work of these fish.
