I have two RECORD folding bikes. Both have Sturmry-Archer 3 speed rear hubs. I want a person or shop to completely go thru the bikes and add electric front wheel drive motors.
I’m planning on using them on my sailboat trip so they’ll have to go ashore in my dinghy occasionally.

Sounds pretty interesting in all seriousness.

Loop is for brown water sailors, I be blue water guy.
6 month trip to Bahamas, not subtle thats not my style.
So far depart Jan 6 slow roll (3 weeks) to Miami. We’ll dock for 2 weeks, rent auto drive back. Depart Miami 3 weeks to bay St Harbor, Nassau. Fly home 2 weeks and set sail for Exuma Land & Sea park3 weeks, dock Emerald Bay fly out of Georgetown. Wife wants to go to Green Turtle Key next, fly form Marsh Harbor. That’s 5 of 6 months planned.

The return will not involve the slow roll, my wife will be more than ready to come home. We sailed 4 months Mar/June 2024 from BSL, MS to Sanibel is. Everglades, lower Keys and think we’re prepared.
75yr old me and 73 her, slow roll is the order, and bring a big roll of cash.
Over $200/ daily rate for dockage…..if you can find space high season etc.

Swytch kits are a little pricy but are quality. My cousin and her husband both electrical engineers chose Swytch. Check it out.

Thank you for the info and recommendation. I’m looking for someone to rebuild the bikes as well as install electric drive.
At my age I’m trading dollars for time where as I spent my youth trading
Time for dollars.
