Mississippi baws are the only folks that call a Ling a Lemon fish

They got 50 different names up and down the gulf coast from Texas to Florida

Always called them ling growing up. Sometimes we had to explain to the "city folk" that "you might call them lemonfish or cobia"

Going to be interesting to see what the NPS does about camping, E Ship was legal while W. Ship was not.

Good point and good question. I've camped on E. Ship twice; been looking to do it again.

Maybe they'll put up a sign marking camping limits and such the way they do in the Florida section of Gulf Islands National Seashore at Johnson Beach.

Wait, weren't you the dumb arse that didn't know flat heads were spots?

I don't know what you do for a living.
I don't know what level of education you've achieved.
I don't know your experience level when it comes to fisheries science.
More importantly, I don't really give a damn what you, T-Bob, & your paw-paw call a particular type of fish.
Just because thousands of people refer to a certain fish species as White Perch doesn't mean that it's a perch!

Perhaps when someone tries to educate you, you could just say thanks or you could simply STFU?

I propose a similar wager with you as I tried to make with the backwater bayou bubba in the other thread .
Just let me know if you want to accept it.
After all, if I'm a "dumb arse" then you should easily be able to prove that you're right!

You typed all this over lemonfish? Are you seriously saying lemonfish is not another name for cobia or ling?

You were dead wrong there too.
