yeti cooler. They are amazing for backpacking trips. You put it in your car fill it full of ice and beer then when you get off the trail after 3-4 days it is ice cold waiting to be consumed. Those are the best beers you will ever drink.

Thanks for all the ideas OB!

I have settled on books and space pens (I work at NASA now so that has a personal angle as well as being useful and unique).

An American space pen that cost millions to develop and can write upside down in zero gravity, or a Russian Space pen that can do the same and only cost about a dime? (lead pencil)

If you want to add a low cost item, NESA has 10year membership for $25 if the paperwork is completed within 6 mos of their board of review.

Regular $35 for 5 years or $250 lifetime

My uncle got my brother and I nice folding knives and used his Dremel to etch our initials on the blade. Pretty personal and sentimental, I carry that knife with me everyday.

We called these “life for lifers”. Sounds like you had a good reason though and it makes me sad for those young men that their troop fell apart. I am an Eagle Scout and a Vigil member of the OA. Those were the best times of my life.

Haha a space pen, I would bet that you are an Eagle Scout as well. Every Eagle Scout I’ve ever met has been soft as pudding. You need to buy them a gallon of Jack Daniels and send them to a local biker bar to figure out how the real world works.

OK tough guy, that sounds like a great plan.

Why don't you just strap on your chaps and head on over to that "biker bar" of yours and find yourself that real man you've been looking for all your life.

I received the 30-06 that I still use deer hunting now. I would say the gifts you are thinking of would be well received. Maybe get the eagle badge embossed on them?

What eagle Scout wouldn't enjoy a Brownie or 2?

I’m an Eagle Scout. I think I just got money. May not have gotten anything. It made my parents happy so glad I completed it even though people would give me a hard time about it for some reason.
