Yes, 511 has been pretty accurate. Louisiana State Police FB page has been updated regularly also with good info.

Exactly! I grew up in northern Michigan and went to school in the UP. I ain’t getting on the roads unless it’s a life threatening emergency. Not to mention it don’t matter how experienced you are driving in snow. We don’t have plows, salt, ect down here.

I lived in Pittsburgh and one easter we had a blizzard. County had sold their salt piles thinking winter was over. It was a mess
No salt on roads I wouldn't drive it. 40 mph and black ice is a wreck waiting to happen

Check the roads in Liberty MS. If clear, may be easier to go Liberty to Clinton, and then plank rd into BR.
