Good deal. If you are your brother go to Acy, get my camera for me.

Damnit I forgot about that thing. I'll get dad to get it this evening.

Dad and brad have went a few times. Saw a few deer but haven't killed anything. Should be money this weekend though.

Yes it is. I'm pretty excited about it. One step closer to being able to take him home.
They increased his bottle feeding too. He's now getting three bottles per day and 5 through the feeding tube. They'll keep increasing the bottle feedings as long as he'll take them. Hopefully he'll let them increase it every couple of days.

is it still looking like 2.5 weeks before you guys can take him home?

That is awesome news! Almost as good as Trevor being able to breathe completely on his own.
Has the neurologist come back around or did I miss an update?

Be careful what you wish for. Two weeks of sleepless nights and you may be asking to bring him back.

She's going to test him weekly, on Fridays.

It really just depends on Trevor. No way to tell. They have to make sure he does alright without the oxygen, and then make sure he can eat on his own for all of his feedings. He also has to have a strong enough gag reflex in case any of the milk gets stuck in his throat or if he throws up.
He is already able to regulate his body temperature, and is doing good so far without the oxygen.
We're still worried about possible neurological disorders, but all that will come with time. I expect we'll be in and out of therapy for years. We're not sure if he'll be able to talk, hear, walk, ride a bike, read, etc. Although the EEG and MRI looked good, the only way to really tell will be once he starts trying to do each one.

Yes, it is hard to think about, and I know it will be a long road, but we're praying for the best and are already thankful for the strides he's made so far. We'll love him unconditionally no matter what problems he may have. He's been a miracle child already, and we're praying he keeps that trend up.
The more I talk to the doctors, the OBGYN who delivered him and the neonatalogist and the residents who resuscitated him, the more I realize how close I was to losing him and how grim the outlook actually was. Very scary to hear them talk about. They were literally seconds away from giving up on him when his heart started beating on its own. Then they told us the next six hours would be crucial to see whether he lived or not. After the first 18 minutes, no one expected him to be where he is now.

I still can't believe 18 fricking minutes. That's almost a commercial free seinfeld episode.
