I recently bought a LED spot for my dock and the light is "dirty"- lights up the night like there is fog over the water. My halogen burns a clean piercing light but I am looking for a lower electricity use. Anyone know if there is a difference in LEDs? Do I need a different type?

Halogens work much better at attracting fish than LED. The underwater lights work well, but I've found the fish spook much easier.

I make my own. 1000 watt metal halide. Hot enough to prevent slime buildup. I suspect the five around my dock can be seen from space.
