Desert Storm is happening this weekend in Lake Havasu City. The big boys will be out in force this weekend. Starts on Thursday with the street scene, where they close down the main street and fill both sides with boats.

Saturday is the poker run, raising money for local charities. Saturday is the shoot out, seeing who is the fastest on the water. Top speed last year was 203 mph.

Who has the advantage?

Inboards or the outboards?

I have no clue and I will show you Why. I will give you a guess that the inboards are more aerodynamic and can house a larger motor(s).

I think the benefit is the same as why a lot of offshore boats are going to outboards, is the ease and cost of maintenance, plus the cost of replacement for outboards is exponentially lower.

Also, I’m not a fan but the T&A’s in these is always great people watching

Spray painted labradoodles and a dude casually doing wheelies on a three wheeler in the first 30 seconds.

I’ve seen enough to know this is where Livingston Parish dreams are made.
