Awesome pic! Is that a wood duck egg for sure or some other bird that lays eggs in other ducks nests? Curious why it would move it around? Maybe it new it was dead?

Just so I'm clear what I'm looking at, it is a broken egg right? I mean, it has a hole in it so the duck can actually get a bite on it?

Not as cool as your pics but my 9yo took this pic today of a pair of mallards on the pond, we haven't had ducks here in over five years. Geese gallore, but no ducks. Until today.
