Haven't been this year yet - anyone have any reports?
I have heard about some good reports from the Lake John area.

I've been hearing good things. Gonna try to make it down in the next week.

Been a couple weeks now, but Lake John looked good on arrival when I fished President's Day. Had a nice trout on before I could get the trolling motor down, then couldn't buy a bite for the 30 minutes of drifting we did in the area thereafter. Hope it's turned on now

Fished out of there 2 weekends ago. Same day as the redfish tournament. Caught limits of reds and close to limits of specks.

I went out Tuesday afternoon in the kayak. So, I certainly didn't go to Lake John, but where I fished was decent. I caught three reds in about two hours of fishing. The water wasn't dirty, but it was dark (like tea water) and a bit on the low side. However, there really wasn't much of a tide that day and a north wind.
