Looking for opinions on the best height for a deer trough that doesn't allow the hogs climb in

A little higher than a hog and a little lower than a deer.
But seriously, if you're having hog problems, a feeder pen maybe a good first line of defense.

6 hog panels and 12 t-post. Pull a 15’ radius and put down first post. Then work around the circle pulling 15’ putting a post at ends and middle of each 16’ panel. Makes a 30’ diameter pen with a little overlap of each panel. I like to use the 30 or 32” high panels. You can also cut 60” in half along the length.

Old man at our lease said we had to “build them pecker high “ this one is pecker high and had only one pic of a pig in it ever.

I did this and hogs never got in. I could step over it easily.
The hogs finally gave up and quit coming around my stand. Deer would jump in without even thinking.
I hang gravity feeders about 40". Never used a trough.

Hogs won’t work hard to get in something but will fight like hell to get out. I’ve seen a boar about 175 lbs clear a 48” panel like a Gazelle. Was so shocked I couldn’t get a shot at him and I already had the rifle out the window.
