Haven't seen Daylower around lately. Wonder if he's still diving for a cell phone.

Is cash not legal tender?

Word is that the client who was on board when this happened had a ton of cash on him...like a few thousand when this happened. Lost it all. Maybe he was paying for the trip in cash.
ill assume he didnt pay for the trip after that, so he broke even

I think they found it.

It is indeed, but it would be just as legally tender hidden under the seat of his locked truck at the marina.

I'm not understanding your logic here.

I'm just saying theres no need to bring that kind of cash on an offshore fishing trip. I would have left it someplace safe on dry land.
Posted on 3/2/13 at 11:08 am to TheGreat318
Oh. Ok. I thought you were implying there was something sinister going on offshore with the cash.
He may have been wary of keeping that amount of cash in his truck vs having it safely with him. Who knows.

You're incinerating something nefarious was going on?

That's what I was thinking and I was wanting details.

Not too safe if he lost it all in the wreck.

Like charter guys are trying to cheat the man.
Posted on 3/2/13 at 11:17 am to El Josey Wales
Just Josh, he's singlehandedly bringing the charter industry to its knees. Wrecking boats, cash payments, illegal fish.

I lost my AR15 in a Boating accident. Is that littering?
Posted on 3/2/13 at 11:34 am to LSUlefty
For Ole Geauxt's sake, I hope not. He would be looking at hard time.

Stupid fat fingers and autocorrect! But that actually kinda works. New rumor: he burned the cell phone!

What up guys? Just ran across your post. Some stuff you have right, some is waaay off. Like the guy that said a pic was posted to facebook....That never happened. No pic has ever been posted anywhere. I fly out to cabo tomorrow, when I get back, I will sit down and lay it all out for you. I will leave you with a few things that very few know, and I have the paperwork to back it up. This trip was not even my trip. I was a deckhand on the boat. Was not my trip, not my boat, not my permits and not my customers. All of that came out in the wash but you wont hear wildlife tell you that. Also, the paperwork for them to look at my phone was written for my home address, in Denham Springs. Not Venice Marina. Not even the same parish. I will post a copy of it for you to see when I get back. Long story short, they didn't have a case for the fish and ended up dropping everything on the actual capt of the trip other than a written warning. The only thing they were left with was the states criminal charges on me. Thru a plea deal, we decided to take a year with no guides license rather than fight it out in court. We believe we could have got it all thrown out just on the bad warrant alone but who knows how these things will play out. I did what I did with me and my family in mind and im cool with it. Sometimes when you win, you don't really but it is what it is. They believed in the beginning that the fish was offloaded at the dock, they now know it wasn't. We did land a fish but was never brought to the dock. I have 2 pics of the fish on the boat. Maybe I will post them sooner or later but as of now, they have NEVER been posted anywhere. Its kinda cute that all of these people seem to know how things went, when in fact they don't know much at all. I am still booking trips. I fished with Capt Brandon 2 days ago, we landed 11 yellowfin and left them biting. A very good day on the water. I will be back as captian come April. The whole crew flies out for cabo in the morning. We will take pics. Don't waste too much time worrying about me now, I will be just fine. See you out there. Capt Josh
