A post I made on the noodling thread got me wondering how many of you have sheila's in the family who hunt and/or fish?

I beg my wife but she seldom comes. Her father didn't hunt and fish, that I know of, so he obviously didn't take her. My daughters used to but adolescence kinda killed that.

I actually like fishing alone too because it's my "me time" away from everything but I love when they come also.

I think it's neat as shite when a female can handle herself in a boat/blind. Not talking over the top and butchy but in a feminine yet outdoorsey way too.

agreed. i've brought my wife and step daughter fishing a few times this year

my daughter (2 in march) will soon be getting her lifetime hunting and fishing license

we're having another girl tuesday who will be getting her lifetime hunting and fishing license before she's 2

i agree about the alone time....it's precious, but sometimes it's really neat to bring the girls or my wife out with me

My Aunt is one of my top fishing partners. She knows the Spillway and Gibson like the back of her hand and usually out-fishes me.

My Mom sac-a-lait fishes with me sometimes and can fish pretty well.

My Wife will come sit on the pier with me and fish if they are biting.

My wife recently told me she wants to come on a duck hunt, which will be interesting. I think she only wants to go to see the dog work

ONLY time she came duck hunting with me was for THAT very reason...AND 16 years ago. Two days before delivering our first born.

My mom would rather die than get dirty, my wife will go fishing but it's usually to help corral the boys and make sure I dont kill them. Not that I would purposefully do it, but she's a little over protective. Doesn't want them to drown or anything. She'll go on hunting trips but hangs out at the camp, usually bitching about how dirty it is. It's nice to have something warm to lay next to on those cold nights though.

My wife goes occasionally, and will usually catch the biggest fish of the day...

My wife loves to fish and hunt. She only wants to get in the chair if it's a blue or a big fish. As far as hunting she loves it and I would never tell her this but she may be a better shot than me .... Even with her bow

As far as specks and reds I think she just wants to go boat riding but you do get that extra limit

I LOVE to fish. My Dad used to take me hunting and fishing as a kid. But I don't like killing animals, so I don't hunt.

She's doing much better, eating and smiling at us. Her heart is repaired now we are just working on getting the remaining fluid out of her lungs and dealing with the pulmonary hypertension. Hopefully be home before New Years

Fish are fish -- they do not count as animals. Damn, do I have to explain EVERYTHING to you?

Merry Christmas.

I have a 3 year daughter who I can't wait to start brining. What's a good age to get them started? I only have one girl, so I don't have to divide my time. I may post this question as a new thread.
