We are in cape San blas. Fishing is on hold, I just got popped by a fricking stingray on day 1 of our vacation.

I have never (knock on wood) been hit by one...I imagine it hurts quite a bit. I have been zapped by a hard head taking them off the hook before.

On the pain scale it's a 12/10 the first time I had no idea what to do so I suffered for a while. This time I walked straight out the water to the house and got it in hot water.
The hot water instantly takes the pain away. It's almost crazy how instant it is.
Hot bath tub, no pain. Need a beer walk to the fridge and 10 seconds later you're running back to the water.

How long or how many days do you have to keep putting hot water on it?

Yea I snagged one before they went OOS. I think I'm going to look at the new Penn Slammer IV for it, I just need to see what weight will balance it well.

About an hour or 2 and then most of the pain goes away.
This one got me good, could feel the pain from the venom all the way up into my groin.
3 days later I had flu like symptoms, etc. Made me sick as hell. Got an antibiotic shot when I got back home and it got me right.

Last go at it for this year. Got broke off by something 2x first thing and then nothing. I think they were blues, it but through the pomp rigs.
