There is a term for that. It rhymes with, illegal seizure.

Mine stays in the center console, last time I got stopped, I told the cop I had a .38 in the console. He said "good, don't pull it out though." Taillight wasn't working, he let me go.

Would you rather them not ask and then put one in the back of your head when he sees you reach in the direction it is? They are asking so things don't get f'ed up for you.
it's been there so damn long I actually forgot until later. There are bullets it the mag but not one in the chamber. Does that make a difference to a cop? I would say negative

The magazine does not need to be in the fire arm in Florida. It has to be a 2 step process

they will bust your arse for carrying a concealed firearm

Alaska:
Any armed person is required to inform a LEO that he is in possession of a firearm upon initial contact. LEO takes temporary custody of weapon and runs # to check if stolen. LEO returns weapon at end of contact. (no CCL required to to CC in Alaska).

Texas:
If CCL Holder: Must inform LEO upon initial contact. LEO will just shrug.

If NOT a CCL Holder: No obligation to mention anything.

I would keep the magazine separate it's not worth the felony.
Supposedly they're working on some legislation to make your car an extension of your home.

Like Louisiana and Texas is

I will see what I can do.

This week of warm weather should really turn the bass on.

The moon's getting right to this weekend should be prime

Don't volunteer any information unless he asks or tells you he is searching your vehicle. If that's the case, you probably did something pretty bad.

I got pulled over a couple years ago for an expired inspection sticker. Cop asked if I had any firearms and when I answered "no" he asked to "take a look inside". No other violations, no speeding, nothing on my record. Does an expired inspection sticker warrant that kind of action?
