Honestly man it's a great company with a TON of growth potential. It's a "lets do xxx for 3 months and then re-evaluate you and your pay" kinda deal. Just kinda frustrating because I was expecting something more and know I can find a better "now" paying job if I wanted to. It's a tough decision and I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. I need to figure it out by Friday, because they want me to start next week.

Eta: thank you for real though

I've done this a couple times and if you do what you're told and don't cause any problems, you should land full time with them.

I always told them I was willing to do things technically not "in my job description" and volunteered to do what seemed like trivial things at the time. Always came in early and shot the bull with the guys about sports and all around the coffee pot, ect. Just make a bunch of friends by talking to a lot of different people

Good luck

It's a full time position but damn man I spent a lot of time in the classroom to better myself when I got to this position and now I'm uncertain about what to do. Decisions decisions

I know you're probably chomping at the bit to get a real job, but worst case is you take this and realize in 3 months it sucks or the pay won't get better. Then youre right back to where you were today. My advice would be to seriously consider it if you think you'll like the job. If it doesn't work out, try something new.

I wish my first job came with a three month trial run

And don't walk around feeling entitled now that you have a degree.

Trust me man, I made some horrible decisions as a young man and am not happy about taking this long to get it done. My degree is just a house sigh of relief for me to just start something new and take control of my future. No entitlement from me

I'm not 19, I know what this is all about. I've been working as much as I can and going to school a llllong time.

Not necessarily a trial run, it's more so just them being uncertain of their own expectations of me so it's basically a chance for me to do something great.

Just remember that it isn't a rest-of-your-life commitment. I had 4 offers on the table a few weeks ago.

My decisions got a whole lot easier once I let it sink in that I'm young enough and single enough to try something for a year or two. In a few years you may not have that luxury any more, so take advantage of it and go with the one you'll like the most and think you'll be the best at. Don't worry about getting rich just yet.

That's my $0.02

Dirty rice and miller fortunes. Sitting in the boat now letting my lines soak a couple of hours before I check them.
