Ain't many of us on here this time of night and I value my privacy as much as the next.

You don't have to worry about me I don't go all OT on people's info, plus you are helping keep this country safe.

I really wish we all could get together for a weekend or a week of atv riding, fishing, and shooting.

It was fun. Good excuse to buy cool toys. Thinking about running for constable so I can get some more write offs.

Overhead only about 50 percent. My staff does my own ekgs, xray's, dexa, mammo, pft, allergy testing anf shots, and lab in house. Plus Hosp, OB, icu, nicu, and lots of derm and ortho.

.

This however makes a big difference. My wife is a stay at home mom who spends my money on two snot nosed kids.

I quit hospital work and spend more time in clinic. Take Mondays off and my income went up 6 figures. Something to think about.

The wife working helps alot!!!! And she's not a spender. Plus the shite she spends on is stuff I want...guns, boats, four wheelers.

You doing your own derm and ortho procedures? Of course we don't have a derm for 100 miles in any direction. I do a shite ton of it. Oh and we do us, echo, dopplers in house.

Nah I'm not helping much of nothing but the old man and my brother. I just happened to have grown up in that environment so my education in the subject started about the time I learned to talk. I can outshoot both of them with specific weapons and they can both outshoot me with their forte. The old man has a room of shooting trophies like most people on this planet will never imagine. The brother has taken on rather more lofty paid national positions after leaving the SEALs including starting a company that exclusively caters to SWAT and military worldwide.

Nope. Used to do endoscopy as well, but quit it. Was doing it at hospital though so it pulled me away from office alot. I'm 25 minutes from hospital so OB was tough to keep doing. I still do gyn procedures.

Do wound care too.

(Haines, Petersburg, Sitka) are in the Southeast. I'd imagine getting around the S.E. is much more difficult.

Not really. All are connected by air or ferry. Ak Air flies into Juneau, Petersburg and Sitka. It's a lot less convenient than road or rail but ferry travel is actually kind of fun.

You're still a REAL doc. I miss OB and some of the other stuff, but quality of life is better and I'm making alot more. I applaud you on all you do. I quit OB 6 yrs ago and hospital 2 yrs.

Yep own derm and ortho but we have specialists near so some slip out of my hands. I try to do at least one office surgery daily. Don't get as much fracture management as I can handle due to er docs sending to ortho instead. I inject joints a couple times a week though.

Seeing about 20-30 a day in clinic.

We need to add Doppler and start doing sclerotherapy

Damn, now I think I'm leaning to visiting the Southeast. I'm assuming I would just be flying in a commuter from Seattle to Juneau? Thanks for the help, Roger.

I see 40-50 per day. Do numerous jt injections and skin procedures a day. Usually end up sewing up one or two lac's a day. We do alot of industrial medicine as well.

We need to swap notes sometimes. I spent time in alot of offices during school and training learning the best and worst of each.
