I’d like to take my dad on a conservation hunt. Looking for some recommendations. We’re from New Orleans area but will travel pretty much anywhere in the state.

Best tip, don’t buy one in Louisiana. Go north at least to Arkansas

Not Nue outdoors.. had a recommendation from some guys here a few years back not saying they led me in the wrong direction but I was not impressed. It was all about the money. They put 12 of us in one field and they were hunting 10 sets that day and in 2 days we killed 3 total geese. There was probably 100 people or more hunting with them that weekend. They also expect u to hunt from daylight to dark.. The guide got mad when we told him at 3 we were going to find some whisky and the titty bar. They couldn’t believe after 8 hrs of laying on our back in a cold field and not firing a shot that we were ready to go. Not to mention listing to that dam goose tape loud as it could play u couldn’t talk to anyone without yelling

I had basically the same experience with a different guide service. I won't be doing another conservation hunt....

Larry Robinson with Coastal Wings Outfitters. He will be in Stuttgart Monday and moves North with the geese. They beat them up pretty good.

Some buddies and their kids hunted with the Hunt Addictions guy last year in Parkdale, AR. It was actually a field that one of them owned and the outfitter was trying to get access to it and the condition was they let my buddies and the boys get a free hunt of the deal. They slammed them but I think this outfit drove all the way down from Stuttgart to do this hunt.
