To/from work/in car: Beretta Cougar 9mm in a Remora holster. Just tuck IWB when walking to/from car and keep in vehicle while at work.

Normal carry (any time not at work): Walther PPS 9MM pocket carry in a Remora or IWB in a CBST or in laptop bag/gym bag in the Remora.

About to buy one more Remora for each gun with a mag pouch sewn in to it.

Just realized you were back

Saw a dude tent camping at the GI state park this weekend pulling yaks on a trailer behind his Subaru and thought about you

It's amazing how well the Remora clipless holsters work. I need to buy a couple more, as well!

They're pretty unreal. Even in gym shorts, my PPS stays glued to me when I carry IWB. They're the perfect pocket holster, too.

I carry all the time. Ruger redhawk 4 inch barrel with 44 specials in an IWB for when I can untuck my shirt or Ruger Lcp in the pocket when I tuck the shirt in ( buffalo bore WC 38 specials)

Glock 23, professional 100 IWB holster whenever legal.

Needed it once before I had my CCL and hopefully will never need it.

That reminds me of the scene in "Crocodile Dundee" when CD and the girl are getting robbed. One of the robbers pulls out a knife to which the girl responds, "He's got a knife!!" CD pulls out a MUCH bigger Bowie type knife and says, "No, THIS is a knife!" A Redhawk stoked w/ 44 Specials is definitely a weapon! I've shot a lot of 44 Special rounds through the years so I have a fondness for it.

Thanks for the props. I really view the 44 special as the best self defense round there is. Ballistically similar to the 45 acp but you can use a great variety of cast bullets to make it better. Lately I've been using some from Mattsbullets.com . He is in Arky and has a variety of hollowpoint lead bullets that expand greatly in the 800 to 950 fps range. 245 grain 44 caliber bullets expand to about size of a quarter and still give great penetration.

Kahr CM9 IWB in a Tagua holster from Jim's. Super comfortable and concealable since it's so thin.

Loaded up 7+1 with Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P's.

nvcowboyfan,
Thanks for the link to the cast bullets. I thought I was aware of every bullet caster in the area, but I was not aware of Mattsbullets. Might very well try some of his bullets.

I used to be involved in a deer hunting lease in SW TX. The rancher there didn't like the jack rabbits because they ate the same grass his cattle did. He wanted jack rabbits shot. To foster good relations w/ him, we did so. My favorite "jack rabbit gun" was a Taurus 5 shot 44 Spec w/ adj sights and a 4" barrel. We avoided hunting from the truck while driving the roads, but frequently scouted while driving the roads. The 44 Spec was easy to pass around in the cab to whoever had the best shot at a jack rabbit. I miss those jack rabbit and deer hunts on the ranch.
