Compressor air hose to pvc fitting.

Long story short. I got asked to teach the space exploration merit badge at a boy scout summer day camp in a few weeks. One of the requirements is to build and launch a model rocket. There is a field by the church where it will be held, but it's a little small for regular "estes" black powder rockets. So we are going to build water rockets. I'm going to build a launcher out of schedule 40 pvc, and connect it to a bicycle pump. For safety reasons I'd like to take a 25' length of compressor air hose.
My question is this. How would you go from the Schrader valve on the pump to the pvc. I know several of you have full time compressors and air in your ships, so you might have an idea or three.
Thanks in advance.

typically the end of the compressor hose will be 1/4 mnpt. so on your pvc you would just use a slip to female thread and then the appropriate reducers to get down to 1/4 female npt. if you want to be fancy you can screw one of the male quick connect on the end of the pvc and just use the quickconnect on the air compressor hose to attach.

Take a regular pvc cap, drill it, put a bolt on the back of the npt and glue it on? It only has to last 1 day.

Put a "T" fitting in your PVC pipe, connect both ends of the T to your pipe as normal, in the third outlet (if laying on the ground it will be stick up or to the side), buy you an adapter to glue in and have a 1/4 NPT female, screw one of these into it and you're done

after rereading I see you will hook up a bicycle pump
so you have your pvc. on the pvc I would do like what I said and use a slip to threaded, then reduce down to 1/4 fnpt. from there screw your compressor hose and run it to where you want to stand with the bicycle pump.
then use one of these

and then one of these schrader valves

A friend built a couple for some kids for a field day and they all had a chance to foot pump some pressure and pull the string to propel a Pepsi 3 liter in the air. It worked really well too.
