I bought one the other day (columbia pfg) and I love it. My wife hates it by the way. It is cooler than a t-shirt on the water.

I used to be a fishing shirt hater, until i actually bought one. Also said no way in hell im buying a $40 columbia when i can buy a $20 magellan. Then I bought a Columbia and found out that what $15-20 more gets you. Ill gladly pay a few more dollar for a shirt that I find more comfortable. Needless to say not every article of clothing made by columbia is of the same quality. Their Bahama II, Tamiami II, and Blood and Guts (blood & stain resistant - great for tuna trips) shirts are a lot more comfortable than their basic shirts. You also have to buy a size smaller than what u usually wear to get a decent fit.
I also have an Under Armour Flats II shirt and to be honest with you I prefer a regular old Under Armour Heat Gear t-shirt to it. The Under Armour stuff seems to be a bit more true to size than the Columbia stuff. I really like the Under Armour shorts. Also you have to pay attention to the care info on the tag - you cant wash something that says "delicate" in a normal cycle with hot water and expect it not to fade. Just my 2 cents.
