should've just made a new era of pythons instead. then i would be inclined to buy one.

They cost a fortune to make yet still don’t hold up like the SW -2-3’s

I have a Glock 26 with 15rd mags for it, don't think I'll replace it with a snubby revolver. That's basically my point with Colt; they have revolvers and sub-compact 1911's and that's it. MSRP starting at $600 and many are $999 across their carry lines. That's not going to appeal to a lot of people when a M&P Shield 9mm is $250 right now from PSA. Colt, for a long time, was somewhat ambivalent towards civilians carrying firearms for self-defense, much like H&K's somewhat former attitude towards the civilian market. H&K learned better, S&W hit a home run with the M&P pistols, Colt has stagnated and it looks even worse when Mossberg has a polymer pistol hitting the market.

They also have the Mustang for concealed carry.

And none of their revolvers have a lock. And their 1911 models are made of forged steel. I like Colt. Some don’t.

Colt's line of 1911's are excellent. I like the idea of the new snubby. The Smith jframes are usually aluminum five shot cylander with a very heavy double action trigger. The new colt snubby is all steel, six shot, and supposedly nicer trigger. I would opt for S&W and/or Colt from the '80s or earlier but this looks like a handgun that fits a need.

I couldn't imagine shooting .357 out of anything smaller than a 4" barrel.

Bark is worse than the bite with a frame like that King Cobra. I shoot full house .357 loads through my 4.2" Ruger MC and it's perfectly comfortable after dozens of shots. I doubt taking an inch off the barrel would make much of a difference.

I had a Ruger GP100 with the 4" barrel and .357 was a kick out of that enough.
Also used to have a DAO S&W 642 (.38) with a VERY heavy trigger pull.

I'm jaded on recoil, an afternoon putting a couple of mags through a .50 AE Desert Eagle will make anything .357 feel tame...
