We hiked Clark's Creek Trail this past weekend and it was a great time. Fairly challenging hike, but some very cool spots can be found in the middle of the woods. Hike ended up being 7.3 miles.

Ive smoked many a white tail out there. I hunt off that crazy arse rock road. Next time I smell weed in my stand, Ill know who it is.

The wife and i hiked it this spring. Nice little place. All i could think off the entire time was the amount of deer in the area. Ticks were everywhere. I had a hand full on me and my dog and about 20

I do find if it starts to warm up around February that it is the best time to go. One time we had a large group with us. Some people insisted on getting off the creek and doing the primitive trail. 4 miles in half of them are about to pass out. I thought we were gonna have to call in. Because you know once you get on that primitive trail you aren't cutting through the woods to get off. Thankfully it worked out. This thread makes me wanna go back.

We started the day on the primitive trail, got off on the most southern part of it and stayed in the creek for about 2 hrs. Then came out of it and hiked back onto the primitive trail and then to the falls in the NW corner of the area. The hike out at the end was by far the hardest thing we did that day. My legs were shot.

You on the left or right side of the road heading to Lake Mary? That's some hard hunting back there if you shoot something it needs to be worth it. Biggest deer I've ever killed was a few miles past the parking area.

Dnm is right. They got some elevation out there. It's a hump.

I very much am in shape baw. I did the entire day with 65 lbs on my back and I weigh alot too. I dont care how good of shape you're in, after that terrain all day, it was tough getting out. I will bring more water next time though lol. It was a humbling experience, but certainly worth it. I sucked wind the last half of the day.

I would imagine it would be a really tough drag out of there, and depending on where you are, youre not getting a game cart to and from.

My wife and i are in really shape and no questions asked did the primitive trail. It was a burn but nothing too great. Ms. Seapickle had a harder time towards the end. My handheld GPS said 411 ft was our highest elevation and completed in something like 4.5 - 5 hours and it was 5 miles or so long. Also had my 45 lb lab mix with us

I would bring my boxer out there, but he is mentally retarded. That fricker would chase the first bug that caught his attention right off the side of that 411 ft dropoff.
