Just hit 20hrs on my tohatsu and I need to change my engine and gear case oil. Is it too cold for that? I wanted to do it before next weekend but it looks like it will cold all week.

Just run the engine on muffs for a few minutes to warm it up, then drain .
Let it idle while in gear, just make sure the water hose and the dog aren't near the prop.

the warranty coverage requires verifiable proof you changed the oil using the correct oil and filter
they say all you need are show receipts for the oil and filter, but i chose to let the dealer do it, rather than risk any BS, if i have a warranty issue and they try not to pay for it because proof of required maint wasnt done.
that $150 is just cheap insurance that they have to honor the warranty
also they wont tell you, but you can request they use full synthetic in the engine and lower unit. if you dont ask for it they use the standard dealer oils
PS - it took me quite a few minutes to get that damn oil change light to finally reset. i cant remember but the timing sequence as they described was wrong but i finally figured it out by accident
