"one of them had caught more than 10 over 10lbs "
I really can't believe no one called BS on this till now. We are not talking Lake Fork here,I know one big fish was caught years ago but these lakes have never supported a bass population anywhere close to 10 over 10lbs..............

today was my first time. i started at the boat ramp off of acadian and worked my way to the left. but check out this thread and search for LSU lakes. many people have given their input as to where they have caught fish.
today i threw a 1/8 spinner bait along the banks. i am sure brushhog/worm/senko all would do well also.
i'd like to get a kayak and fish around there. would be alot easier than fishing from the bank. lots of low branches to get hung up on.
edit: i suggest catch and release

Call whatever you want. I didn't catch them so I couldn't care less. I have seen some tof the 10 lbers and also believe the guy since he has absolutely no reason to lie.
In mid 90's University lakes had +10lbs being caught and had either the state record or 2nd in the state was caught there. I also was with a friend that caught 2 8 lbers off the same cypress tree in 5 minutes.
ETA: Just checked in June of 92 a 15.38 lb bass was caught there. Now it is # 5 on the list. Also lake was fished really hard for a while before and after that. I still believe the guy.
