Catfish In Vermillion- Lafayette

Has anyone ever had any luck catching catfish in the Vermillion around Lafayette? I live in Lafayette and have been running my boat in the Bayou lately. I’m thinking about putting some punctured dog food cans or stink bait attractants out and trying to catch some cats.

I saw a baw catch a couple off the little dock at the boat launch by the park/air port.
I put some jugs once on that slough that branches off behind the airport and only caught eels.

The Verm is nasty as all hell. I wouldn't eat anything out of it.

Go fish under the bridge at Ruffinos. If you don’t catch anything you can always go eat at Ruffinos.
