If you own a boat, you can document your own time on the water.
If you dont own a boat, you have to get someone who does sign for your time.

Go on their website. Guides can submit their state's paperwork and sell them.

Maybe freshwater is my ticket, but does anyone know where the fresh/saltwater line is in the books?

We will only consider those guides whose main source of income comes from guiding. Unfortunately we don't allow weekend guides, so please include documentation of at least 100 days of guiding per year
Ive got my license, but not a guide, so no free Costas fo ME.

SO I know a guy who opened up a small business, for tax reasons only, because you can claim losses for up to 5 years or something
I know people who show tournament fishing as self employment and do the same thing. You have to show profit in year 5 or 6, cant remember when one explained it to me.
