Out of state its better to get notarized. I know instate transaction do not need to be notarized.

A Louisiana title has provisions on the back for transfer that are to be signed by the seller and notarized.

You may have slipped one through without it, but the rules require a notary.

But to the point you can register it here provided you get proof via their license. Take pictures. Sign everything included a bill of sale.
