If you have friends that also own them you will use it more than if you plan to ride solo. I have one (wrecked and sitting on some old tires at the moment) and it got used pretty regular when we had a houseboat. I got older and pretty much gave it to my brother and he ran it into a dock
Kawasaki XSI 750 two stroke. Did around 42-44 top end. They are fun for a while but tend to get neglected after a few years of ownership.

DO NOT BUY a sea doo 2 stroke whatever you do. Look up their history of burning up the rear piston. Ask me how I know.

I have owned yamahas and sea doos over the past 10-15 years. I worked on the sea doos more than I rode them. Yamaha hardly ever a problem. I prefer two stroke engines with carbs that I can work on myself. I have an old 94 Yamaha Wave Runner I leave tied up to my pier for my buddies to ride. It's been beat to hell and still runs like a champ.
