Those “hills” are steeper than the ones I hunt in northern Missouri

I freaking love hills. Keeps the out of shape baws out. Ebikes are putting an end to that, though. Guess I'm gonna have to get one.

The time to avoid would be the "holiday hunters" around Thanksgiving weekend.

Usually less pressure mid-December to first of the year, when the second Primitive season starts. Looks like it's week of Christmas this year. Rut usually first or second week December.

51,000 acres good luck. Stay north.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^see. They are coming man. The word has been spreading the last few years. Some guy killed a 186" out there a couple years ago and the LA sportsman covered it. They kill a lot of 130-150's every year too. When the state was spotlight murdering does in the summer to make that rut map, they said it was unreal how many deer they saw. It was the easiest place to get their data. It is the only WMA actually near carrying capacity.

It sure won't stay like that long with post like this. I am sure the Facebook hunting public youtube warriors can show you how to decease the population. Better keep that camp where you are.

Find a spot and get there by 2am. Not kidding. You walk in off any gravel road 30 -40 minutes before daylight and there will flashlights lit up everywhere letting you know those spots are taken. It'll look like city full of flood lights.

Your best bet is launch a boat in beouf river(Hwy 4 bridge).Head north then take a left and head up bayou lafourche canal. Find a spot in that area.

Last duck hunt I made there the crow field sounded like a run and gun Harley rally.
