Has anyone every had this? I have never had any poison ivy at all, and I've walked through it multiple times in my life. I spent most of my morning Sunday putting up deer stands, and I realized I had some kind of sap on my arm when I was finished. It left these black spots on my arm that look like mud, but they are underneath the skin. Everything I have searched seems to lead back to black spot poison ivy. Does anyone know how to deal with this?

Probably will have to run its course but don't be fooled by having never having had a reaction. Age will, decrease your tolerance. I used to could hold it but but now it gets me.

Exact thing happened to me. Had never had it so I never paid much attention to it. Was cleaning up after a hurricane and noticed tiny black dots on my arm. Didn’t think much of it. It didn’t take long for it to turn into a rash & start spreading. If it happened again, I’d go straight to the walk-in clinic...it was that miserable.

That’s some crazy looking shite. I can look at poison ivy and catch it, but never had anything like that. I bought some property in March and it had poison ivy around the bottom of some of the trees. I spent most of the summer with poison ivy rash on my legs from weed eating that shite.

dont sratch, ever, if you have to put a paper towel over it and slap the spot just hard enough to relieve the itch

87% isopril alcohol helps dry it up and calamine lotion does really to anything but easy the itching. you can make an oatmeal past which does the same thing as calamine lotion.

bottom line is it has to run its course which could be several days to a week or even 2-3 weeks if you are allergic.

i am "highly allergic" to it and it takes me like 4 weeks for it to be gone

never heard of "black spot", poison ivy is just poison ivy. you sure you didnt get poison oak? they are close to the same but oak is much more intense then ivy.

lastly, wear gloves when you go to the bathroom or sleeping at night, you dont want to scratch your arse or balls while half asleep, dont ask me how i know, that is true suffering you dont want

I went ahead and got a steroid shot to get rid of it sooner. I guess I’m not going to be able to sit in that deerstand unless I move it off that tree.

Ivy dry spray knocks it out fast, you can find it at Walmart.

Doctor said that it was a result of extreme exposure to the oil from the poison ivy. He said most cases he gets people just get some of the oils on there skin that cause the rash. This was a result of large drips of the oil sitting on my skin and basically burning me.

Needless to say, I will be more aware of poison ivy next time in the woods, although I don’t think I’ll be sitting in that much of It anytime soon.

Get water almost too hot to touch and run it over the itchy area. Enjoy the euphoria of itch relief.
