Biloxi, MS guide recommendations
heading down to Biloxi for a bachelor party memorial day weekend. Any guide recommendations down there for red snapper and/or inshore?
TIA

Unless Team Brodie Charters still has opening (doubt it), go with Shore Thing out of BSL. Shore Thing has like 6 boats and can target whatever you'd like.

Team Brodie all the way. Great guy, we have fished with him several times and always have a blast. Just a great regular guy that will work his arse off to get you on some fish.

If you do a red snapper trip, make damn sure you make that crystal clear with your guide. In Biloxi there is a fleet of large charter boats that mainly troll for bull reds and shark fish aka tourist fishing. They’re all equipped to do red snapper and advertise it but make sure you tell them. I was on one last year where that wasn’t communicated and the captain refused to red snapper fish, made us troll. The boat owner gave us our money back after the trip.

If you want inshore then Shorething is the way to go. Kenny, Matt and Sonny know what’s going on. Only thing with that is they fish the Biloxi Marsh/Cat Island. You would need to meet them closer to BSL and or Bayou Caddy.

To be fair those guys dont charge much but it is a shitty trip.

A full day trip is more than enough to make it to the state offshore reefs and drop for snapper. I think it was roughly $1,500. Honestly we can do it in our bay boat but book a trip like this yearly to have a relaxed family trip. I’ve never named the outfit publicly b/c the boat owner was pretty pissed and made it more than right. His captain, however, was pos white trash. So like I said, make your intentions crystal clear and have a good time.

re: Biloxi, MS guide recommendations
Last time I went was for someones birthday party, while those who dont fish much seemed to like it I got exactly what I expected so it was no biggie, lots of beer was consumed and a good time was had.

They dont like to make the snapper trips because they have a constant issue with undersized fish and tangled lines from 20+ people trying to deep drop the same spot.

It takes me about two hours from Mary Walker to VK on a good day and that is where I prefer to fish but I cant carry a party of 25.

Might be a little early around Memorial Day for big numbers, but I agree on Shore Thing regardless.
