I am holding it away from me. I had no desire to get any closer but I gurantee you it was a hoss and the biggest I've seen in my 31 years.

Why do all farmers clean ditches like that now, every lake I know next to farmland experiences silt problems....and no rabbits

Keeping them clean helps with drainage of the field. Also, it aids in less weed pressure for the crop and slows development of resistant weeds such as italian ryegrass, meristale, and pig weed.

No weeds is why the quail are gone. Buffers are good for wildlife, but not great for farmers.

Before it's damaged. Damaging the body makes it appear larger than it really is.

I agree, I don't know too much about quail fire ants do a number on the population I've heard

He does resemble fish but eyes aren't slanted enough and ears diff aren't big enough.
