I had a cheap 32" on my patio wall uncovered for the last 9 years. We just switched to YouTube TV and that tv wasn't a smart tv. Picked up a cheap Hisense 58" smart tv from Wally World for $214 bucks and mounted it uncovered. For that cheap, if it craps out, I'll just buy another one.

TCL for the win. You can get a 60” for like $200
I just replaced my old Panny for the porch wit one of these. It's fantastic.

I bought a Garnetics TV cover from Amazon that I am very happy with.

I dont have anything on mine. Just bought a cheap Hisense 43 inch Roku TV about 4 years ago for my patio for around $115 and mounted it on the wall. With Roku built in can use YouTubeTV out back with no extra wires or hook ups needed.

I mean if the thing crapped out tonight, I feel like getting 4 years out of a $115 purchase is good.

Depends on what’s important to you. Sylvox makes a good outdoor tv. They have an option for full or partial sun. They’ll be significantly more expensive than a similarly sized regular tv, but will last much longer.

I was on the “buy cheap and replace when they go out” train too, but they always shite out right before a big game or when you have people coming over.

Price wise, you can probably buy and replace a non-outdoor tv 4-5 times for the cost of an outdoor one, but the hassle of not having to do that is worth something.

Cheap 55" or so for around $250 will do. You can replace this TV 10 times over the next 20 years and still spend less money than a lot of the dedicated outdoor TVs cost. Put a cover on it and it should reasonably last 3-5 years in my experience
