Going to purchase my second hangun after work today, haven't shopped the baton rouge area and don't have too much time after work to drive from academy, to cabelas, to bass pro, to bowie outfitters to price around. (not familiar with local mom/pop stores). Just wondering my best bet on this kind of thing.

and dammit i swear i put this in the outdoor board wtf

If Academy has what you're looking for then they will have the cheapest price.

depends on the gun. Bowie Outfitter, surprisingly, has decent prices for handguns.

Go to the link below for great prices/selection. Got my Beretta here:

Bud's Gun Shop

You're welcome.

i have a pt709 slim taurus that I got as a gift for my birthday 2 years ago. It's nice, goes right into my pocket as I have a concealed weapon permit and can bring it to work, but just feel that when push comes to shove I want a .40 or .45 with a name for itself, all at the same time being small enough to at least wear on my hip as I already have something I can conceal. But hey concealment would be a plus with this kind of thing.

Wouldn't know who to contact to order a gun online. That's how I order EVERYTHING to begin with as your always going to find a better deal online but just seems like a headache when it comes to purchasing firearms. Maybe I'm wrong though

So are you stuck on the .40 or .45? To each his own, but I'd go with a 9mm and some really good ammo. Alot cheaper to practice with.

Heberts (best all around as far as selection/prices)

Bowie Outfitters (decent prices on hand guns, great prices on Ammo)

Academy (great prices for the little selection they do have)

Cabella's/Bass Pro - about the same though Cabella's is better for hand guns and Bass Pro is better for rifles/shotguns iirc

BJ Pawn & Gun - Actually pretty good prices for some handguns. Alot of used guns here as well.

Jim's Firearms - avoid

Actually it is very easy there.

Set up an account.
Select the gun and location you want the gun sent to.
If the location is preferred (ala Precision it is only a 25 dollar FFL fee)
Pay for the gun
It shows up in about 7-14 days.

I need to contact precision I'm guessing huh? "Hey just informing you guys I have a gun on the way?" or "Hey I come there to shoot every now and then and was wondering if I could get a gun shipped?" This is necessary right?

Random customer Guy at my work was ranting and raving about this gun after I mentioned I was thinking a Kimber Ultra carry model (yeah prob a little too expensive now that its holiday season time and I gotta buy shite for everyone " But I think this px4 storm beretta is a little more on the reasonable price range, 9mm, not the .40 or .45 but hey I'm willing to negotiate

You give the seller their information so they can get a copy of their FFL license. I would also let them know to be on the lookout for the gun. Not sure how much Precision charges, but I get all of mine shipped to Ed's Shenandoah Hardware on Jones Creek. He charges $20

No, Bud's already has all this set up with them. That's why Precision is preferred for the BR area. All you have to do is buy the gun online, select Precision as the FFL, the gun will then be sent. Then you just wait for them (Precision) to call. Personally, I called them ahead of time to give them a head's up but I don't think that is necessary.
