Best Place to get a Gun Valued?

I have a Browning Light Twelve Gauge shotgun that has been handed down a couple generations now. Serial number is G621. I have watched a couple YouTube videos to figure out date of manufacturing, but can’t find a place to get estimated value.
Any ideas?

A good gun dealer, that you have done business with for a good while.

Depends on the shape of the gun obviously but probably around $1000
I think it was made in 1956

I have the big book of gun values on my desk. Standby and I'll see if I can help you.
Serial numbers G1 thru G35450 were manufactured in 1956...
I'll see if I can value it now.
36th Edition of Gun Values has the following:
100%= $1300
98%= 1125
95%= 925
90%= 850
80%= 750
70%= 650
60%= 550
add 15% vent rib
add 15% for round knob NIB condition
add 15% for blonde stock and forearm
add 20% for reddish stock and forearm configurations, Belgian mfg pre-1962
Hope this helped...

I have the 36th edition... The newest is 41st (I think).. So my values are 5 years old but it'll get you in the ballpark.

Why do you need the value of a family gun? You aren’t selling it are you?

Not selling. I show it to a lot of buddies and they are always asking me what it’s worth. I have heard all kinds of crazy numbers, so I just wanted to try and get an idea.
I would never sell any gun. I only accumulate them.
