I don't know that my wife would actually carry a concealed weapon. The main reason we both want them is we travel the country in our motorhome. I have read it is better to have a CC permit just in case we are stopped and searched.
That's the most important info we need to know to make recs. She's looking for a gun to carry in a vehicle, NOT carry in her purse or on her person. If that's the case, I'd look at a full size gun instead of a smaller, concealed carry gun. Full size guns are generally easier to shoot as they are easier to handle and have less recoil, muzzle blast and muzzle flip. For concealed carry I usually recommend a single stack 9mm. For a truck gun, I'd suggest something w/ more magazine capacity IF the shooter's hand can fit the thicker grip so the gun will still naturally point well. For a vehicle gun, nice double stacks would include Glock 19 and 17, Smith & Wesson Smith M&P series, Ruger American/Security series, Sigs, H&P's and others by reputable gun makers. Good single stacks would include Glock 43X and metal Kahr's. Double/single action guns like the Beretta would be fine if she's comfortable w/ their operating system. The 1911 would be good also, but only if she learns its more complicated manual of arms. Of course, a full size revolver in 38 Spec or 357 Mag (if she can handle it) are recommendations, as well. There are more options for a vehicle gun than cc gun.

When this storm moves out I need to get her to a range? I will first need to get two pairs of ear protection. It has been a long time since my Taurus 9MM and the S&W 38 Special has been fired.
If both of these are too big for her I will need to get something else.

I see this theme constantly in regards to firearms for women. A large gun isn’t necessarily a bad thing. What you would need to assure is it’s thin enough in the grip for her to get a comfortable hold on it. A large full sized gun is considerably easier to shoot than a tiny one, with a compact being a good compromise.

My mother just bought a Smith and Wesson EZ Shield. She really likes it. She found revolvers a little too heavy for her liking. Hers is a 380.

I checked out the S&W some more and it is a SS 38 Special CTG with a 3" barrel. It is pretty heavy. Her father got it from the Baton Rouge Police Department and it has B.R.P.D. initials on it.
