EZ Lap (solid). Never had much use for that kind with circles on it. Academy or Walmart should have something, but you may need to go to a hardware store. Haven't shopped for one in a long time.

once you get an edge on a knife with a decent wet stone, if you run it on a crock stick it will shave

Thanks for the advice. Rather learn to use a stone once I get good then I'll switch to the fancy run through and electric ones.

It definitely could be that I'm an idiot.


Felt this way at first too, but once I got it dialed in it has been awesome. I put a razors edge on a cheapass machete. I would give it another chance.
