Best gnat and sandfly repellant, South Louisiana

Went fishing out of Fourchon and got tore up by gnats and sand flies. Put on the ole vanilla lace lotion and that worked for about 45 min and then they were on me again. A week later I still have lil red dots on my skin and still itching like a crack whore.

I recently purchased "swamp swatter" at the la sportsman show. I haven't tested it yet, but for $5 it was worth a shot. It looks like straight vanilla extract fwiw.

Believe it or not... Go to Victoria's Secret and ask for the lotion that keeps flying insects away. They will immediately know what you are talking about. I forget the name of it but it works better than Skin so soft.

I wore it on the boat once and my dad told me it wasn't a beauty contest. Guess who got the gnat bites.
It's the body spray btws.
