Normally on a call with a dog if its tracking it doesnt bark until it finds its target. On a regular show of force or take down those dont last long and the dog is put away fairly quickly.

I was never a dog handler, but I have three former cowokers that were and still are. I never had the want to be a handler.

Cool fact: One of my friends was a handler in the Army and he was on President Reagan's security detail and searched everywhere he went including Air Force and Marine One.

I always found his stories fascinating because he was a bit older than I and he would tell me about pictures that he had of he and his dog with the President and Miss Reagan and they signed everyone for him. I miss him biggly.
