Why do cans cost as much as the rifle?

Supply and command

AB A10 is an excellent muffler and under $500. Theres always going to be $2k ones out there but prices will continue to get better and better.

Surprised noones mentioning the silencerxo scythe ti. It’s a pretty top of the line bolt gun hunting can. I’m not normally the biggest silencerco fan just because I think there’s some better tech out there but for a a hunting bolt action that doesn’t require a real high tech suppression solution the scythe Ti hits the nail on the head.

Way too many reports of them blowing up out there.

I’ve got one with about 1K rounds thru it, it’s been a solid can. Very light. It’s actually what I use on my deer rifle I use most often

Thanks My budget is open id like to keep it under $1500 which I feel covers about anything at this point. Question?

Explain why should i want the brake or no want it on those 2 models.

$1500 does cover pretty much anything. I recommend a can either with a brake (Magnus S-RR) or can with the ability run a brake/flat cap (other optuons).

The brake is most effective on a S or even K style can as it dissipates less gas for suppression and allows the brake to function more effectively. A suppressor adds some recoil reduction versus a bare crown, but a can plus brake is almost to brake territory. You do lose some song suppression reduction by adding the brake, but I think it is worth it. The ability to stay on target and watch impacts is paramount in a hunting scenario.

If you want the quietest braked can then it is probably the Nomad To XC or Magnus S-RR. The Theorem S provides the most recoil reduction, but it is the shortest and loudest can.

I haven’t tried my Recoil X brake on the Magnus yet, but reports are that it is the bees knees.

Loooked harder at that rockslide thread. Kinda sucks I thought finally silencerco nailed one.

At the very least silencerco warranty is typically good. Bummer they aren’t really addressing the problem tho
