I have a Sig 229 SAS, HK USP, and a Beretta PX4 Storm, all in 40. The storm was about $500 and I actually like it best of the three.

Taurus PT 24/7. Got it for 389 at Academy. I love it. Kind of a heavy trigger pull, but the gun makes up for it with balance and dependability.

I am fairly certain that our military does not issue Glocks.

Not trying to bash on Glocks as I own a 26 and love it.

Might want to re read my post. I didn't say they issue Glocks, I said they use the Glocks by choice. Slight difference but I understand. They are issued 1911 or Beretta.

Spec Ops Gun Choice

Glock hands down. If you don't believe me, then what about the thousands of men and women who choose the Glock when thier life depends on it. Several Police and Military Special Forces use Glock by choice and everyone I've talked to said it's because they are dependable and shoot good...

...and because they can't afford HK

When your life depends on the damn thing working, and working correctly, you can afford anything

Seriously, I've shot damn near every handgun you can think of. There are some that have a better trigger pull, or better grip, or feel more balanced, or just seem more accurate than the Glock. If you're looking for the prettiest show your friends what you got gun, then by all means get HK, or Sig.

Glock dude. you can customize them as much as a 1911 and if you dont its still one of the best guns for the money you can buy.

I also have a Beretta 96 Brigadier INOX in .40 caliber and I love that thing, although it was $545. I shoot the ever loving crap out that gun on a consistent basis and it's my favorite hand gun that I own.

Like Beretta also, but is .40 recoil much more than 9mm?

Yes and we all know the Government gives contracts based on qaulity

Say what you want, I like HK and Sig, and have a sig. I carry Glock when it counts.

Ive had a Springfield xd for 5 or 6 years and like it. Have put a ton of rounds through it. Very easy to maintain and never had a problem.
