Honestly man, keep your bay boat and enjoy the weekend trips inshore. If you want to go offshore pay for a guide a couple times a year and save your money. You could pay for a guide for 3-4 times a year for the next 30 years and still come in cheaper than buying some of these offshore rigs and all of the other expense that comes with them. And you don't have all of the headache. You show up, fish, then go home.
