Before someone told me about "waterdog", I used Bill Matney's videos. "How to talk dog"

you bought that dog. You owe it to her.

Wolters water dog is great, but I can promise you if you get out of bed and walk that dog for 30 min and spend 15 min training the dog you will have a new dog. Dogs get bored and owners me included get lazy. Wear him out first then do the training session. Its not the dog its the person.

I did about 30 years ago on my first Chocolate. It should still work today...

Bushwacker where do you live? I live in Watson and have trained multiple Labs to Hunter Retriever Champions and Master Level. (hense the screen name)If you live close I can show you some great tips on training her and give you a step by step training schedule.

It's all about building blocks you have to know in what order to train.

If you do the exercises I give you and train her only 10 to 15 minutes a day I guarentee you will see a huge difference in less than two weeks.

My favorite line from Waterdog is something like, "If you are one of those people who thinks you shouldn't hit a dog for discipline reasons, then put this book down and go buy a book about butterflies or scenic photography"

There are better ways nowadays. I have read stories and talked to old timers about training methods of the old and it leaves much to be desired.
