I ran to DeCade yesterday. The bite was a little slow in lake and the boats were stacked. We ended up making out way to Jug Lake and hitting a few dead end canals. We caught 35 all under float. Not one fish was taken on swim baits.

I am debating on whether or not to go tomorrow. I haven't fished Jug lake this fall/winter it is good to know you caught some over there.

What size are they catching in Pelto? If 18" and up I will run over there in a heartbeat.
It's a mixed bag, but I saw a few decent fish there yesterday. If I could fish today and tomorrow, I'd be in Pelto and not Decade.
Specifically, I'd be on that small rock island in between West Timb and Last Isle or at that little teardrop shaped installment in the middle of Pelto. I know the names, but don't want to give up too much...

Damn they are still out there?

I haven't fished there in 10 years or more. We decided years ago to fish west trying to avoid as many boats as possible

Sorry I'm late at replying. As far as redfish areas in or around Lake DeCade, you should be able to find fish along the banks of Lake DeCade, Jug Lake, Raccourci Bay and any marsh around there. I typically use a 1/2 oz. gold spoon, Bayou Chub Minnow rigged on a 1/4 oz. jig head, or any soft plastic rigged on a single bladed spinner. For those that use bait shrimp or cracked crabs, of course you can catch reds, drum, and sheepshead in some of the deeper holes in Bayou Decade, or Bayou Raccourci. The trout seem to be a little scattered right now, but there are still plenty of fish to catch. You just have to keep moving until you find them stacked up and catch all that you can while they're biting! Lots of decent reports coming off of the Shiney Hiney this week. If you plan on fishing Lake DeCade for specks, be prepared to fight the crowd as there's been boats on top of boats. To the question about Lake Boudreaux...I don't fish there often enough to pattern the fish in that area, but I'm sure you can find some areas holding fish right now! Good luck fishing!

yeah I was in Decade yesterday and it was NUTS! I have seen lots of people fish an area, and seen some crowding, but HOLY HELL!!! The morons were out in fulllllll force!! One guy turned and his tire fell off bridge going into Falgoust landing, had everything backed up, when I left another guy backed up too far and got his trailer stuck for 30 minutes. (I felt bad and helped him get it out)People in Decade have no clue how to use trolling motors, and they motor 5' from your boat, and thats no exaggeration! Its so damn aggrivating, but when you realize the fish really dont care, it actually laughable!

That's pretty much the reason I got the hell out of there. Too many people to deal with. I literally counted 22 boats in a 200 yard block. It was quite laughable. I made the short run to Jug and did pretty well. Like I said earlier, the bite was a little slow, but 35 Specs are plenty enough for me and a buddy to be pumped about.
I think I'm gonna try Boudreaux on Monday. Either there or we might run a little further to Lost Lake.
