Big pond on the right is mine. I started off in one of the trailers on the bayou. After we bought the father in laws house we started renting and have added 2 more. Plan on building on the other end of the big pond one day.

They had an FLW tourney on the MS River out of Memphis a few years back when I was cooking at Memphis in May. Launched out of Mud Island Marina right next to the park were cooking at. It was pretty cool. River was high and really rolling. Guys were running flat out down to Tunica. Went screaming down the river at around 70. Several hours later, three or four of them got towed back in sans-lower units. Don't mess with the river.

The deal where they kept them late at blast off last year was a rare occurance. Have a couple friends that marshalled and they said they were literally driving 2-3 hrs one way, fishing 45min-1hr and running back 2-3 hrs. That would suck!!!

So, can I drive down that road without getting rock salt or a Judge to the face?

Man, if you have a little time one afternoon and want to catch some bass, I can fish THE stocked pond. Not sure how close you are too Frank, so wont say much else, but we can def do it.

Got friends with their boats on the water right at the ramp where they launch from. I actually kept mine there for awhile. Last time it was pretty nuts. That's easily the most boats to ever go through the lock at one time as they all haul arse into pool four.

Pretty fascinating stuff. They run like crazy to get south, fish a little bit, then run like crazy to get back up to Red River South Marina. Time it wrong and you've lost the whole thing. Pretty cool watching the strategy at play and I'm not even much of a fisherman.

He says things like come anytime and what not, but I hate open invites. Never been out there. Do want to go though.

Sit down son he is about to pull out the bass form the live well. The crowd gets quiet. The fisherman sticks his arm in the live well taking his time. Then all of a sudden he pulls out a bass. 3 POUNDS 4 Ounces!!! The crownd cheers in joy. WOOOOHOOOOOO

That is just the first fish. Many more to go.

I don't get watching the weigh ins.

Dammit Alx snagged an invite.

Can I ride out there and slouch in the passenger seat. I will drink vodka, no one would see or smell me.

I'll practice for the four ball afterwards.

I always you to see Yager (sp) fishing in Henrys pond (the little pond behind Big Tex). Nothing good in it now, but use to be. I caught a 8.5 lb bass in it bout 5 yrs ago. My cousin had me clean it out before he sold it though.
